Lightening Mug

Capture the energy of a summer storm in the palm of your hand. This tapered stoneware mug contrasts the brown of the clay with a striking "lightning" band of electric blue and frothy white. 
A large mug - 300ml - thrown from stoneware clay in my garden studio in St Werburghs, Bristol. This is a perfect mug for a strong black coffee, or a steaming hot cup of tea - made for cupping your hands round while you watch the rain against the window… 
Glazed by hand, fired twice - each one comes out of the kiln a little different.

Each piece is handmade so dimensions and glazing may slightly differ within the batch.
